Four authorities, four different jurisdictions
Every legitimate Komodo operator sits under all four. Ask any of them for current documents — us included.
Balai TN Komodo
The park authority sets entry permits, zoning and conservation fees. Every landing and dive site inside the park sits under it.
Perhubungan Laut
The Directorate General of Sea Transportation registers vessels and certifies seaworthiness.
KSOP Labuan Bajo
The harbour master issues the sailing approval for each voyage — per departure, not annual.
Where the money goes locally
Described by what we buy rather than by whose logo we can borrow.

Produce, fish and supplies bought from Labuan Bajo markets and cooperatives the morning we sail.

Ground transport
Licensed and insured local drivers for airport transfers, not a fleet flown in from Bali.

Crew and guides
Crew and ranger-accompanied guiding hired from Flores and the surrounding islands.
We are not going to put a number on "percentage of spend that stays in Flores" until we have actually measured it. When we have, it goes here.
